Job Summary:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying and engaging potential customers. This position is responsible for outbound prospecting, handling inbound inquiries, and supporting the Outside Sales team. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and possesses strong communication skills to nurture leads and generate opportunities.
Essential Duties, Functions, and Work Performed:
A Sales Development Representative will:
- Proactively engage in outbound prospecting through phone, email, and social media to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Manage and respond to inbound inquiries from prospective clients and support the Outside Sales team in lead development.
- Conduct research to identify potential customers, key decision-makers, and industry trends.
- Effectively communicate Aztec’s value proposition and product portfolio to potential clients.
- Set up and schedule meetings for the sales team with qualified leads.
- Meet and exceed weekly activity metrics, including calls, emails, and scheduled meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions, prospects, and pipeline status within Salesforce.
- Collaborate with leadership and Account Managers to implement regional sales strategies.
- Support trade shows, conferences, and marketing campaigns to generate new leads.
- Assist in processing quotes and orders with accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Basic knowledge of sales fundamentals and prospecting techniques.
- Prior experience in customer service, sales, or related fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales pipeline management.
